16.1hh, 13-year-old, Thoroughbred gelding.
Ex-racehorse Paddy came to us back in 2016 after being diagnosed with “kissing spines” which, at the time, rendered him unsuitable for ridden work. Fortunately however we soon discovered that he was suitable to undergo surgery to try and correct his condition.
He successfully underwent his surgery shortly thereafter which meant that , after a period of rest, he could eventually return to ridden work.
Unfortunately though, due to time and resource restraints, we have been unable to commit to bringing him back into work and so he has had a few years of the ‘easy life’.
Although Paddy is a sweet-natured, typical Thoroughbred he does come with his fair share of difficulties and limitations. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for Paddy and whether he will be happy to commence ridden work once more; but in the meantime he will continue his residence with us.
