Five year old Shih Tzu Frankie is a nervous girl who, through no fault of her own, is in need of a new home. She does have her issues, but we feel these can be successfully worked through with the right people and home.

Frankie doesn’t like to be fussed or stroked by strangers and will growl when you do this and try to put a lead on, but this is due to her always living in the same calm household with her elderly owner. Frankie needs positive training to enable her to be touched and comfortable around people.

Frankie has lived with another dog and is fine walking with a few different dogs here at Wolfwood, but isn’t too comfortable when they get too close and will growl. We feel she could benefit from living with another calm small dog as it might help her build the confidence she needs.

Frankie would like a home without any young children. A quiet, calm place, bonding with one person, will help her relax, be happier and increase her confidence in the company of others.

She has gone to a home and come back again through no fault of her own and other than growling at strangers her adopter said that she is a brilliant loving dog but doesnt like to be picked up or handled but will come to you for a snuggle.

Hello. My mum is looking to adopt. She is in her 70’s but very fit and healthy and lives alone in a quiet environment. Do you think it would be possible to come and see Frankie? Thankyou.
